There is a concern about not practicing that some may have overlooked...
For purposes of this topic let's establish a little criteria...
We can designate our GUITAR SKILL as (A level), (B level) (C level) and perhaps (D level)...

For purposes of this discussion let's agree that level would be "C"...
Some might think that by attaining LEVEL C that you will STAY THERE without much care or concern...
My belief is that IF YOU DO NOT PRACTICE five days or more that your level will return to "D".
What is my point ??? MOST guitar players FEEL that it does not make any difference if they stop practicing for
some designated time... Burn Out being the normal cause... OR WORK... OR FAMILY.... ETC...
Practice CAN keep you at your CURRENT SKILL LEVEL and DIRECT you to the next one...
So instead of BURN OUT, I suggest you GET OUT your guitar and CONTINUE... LOL....
During my many years of playing I have also BURNED OUT...And YES my skill level suffered...
Perhaps I am just suggesting that you NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES THAT I HAVE.
Good Luck,
