Take some time off, do something different, even if it's just a couple of days, usually does the trick for me.

My guitar time is composed of both PRACTICE and PLAYING...
I usually PRACTICE until I feel I have met PART OF MY GOAL...
Somedays that means that I actually accomplished the goal...
Another day I might have ACCOMPLISHED some skill in the direction of the goal...but not complete...
However in my 40+ years of guitar I find that LATER I will OFTEN pick up the guitar AGAIN and find it EASIER to continue that part of the practice that I did not perfect...
Since I entertain locally I find it necessary to PLAY MOST of the songs that are in my program...Of course many times this works out to be MOSTLY PLAYING, but sometimes it results in my perfecting either the TIMING or the WORDING of a particular song...
SO my point is that PLAYING can be wonderful practice also...SO if you are BURNING OUT, try playing MORE...
During the playing be aware of those things that need IMPROVEMENT and ADD them to your PRACTICE PLAN...
I learned in the NAVY that one must.....
PLAN YOUR WORK &
WORK YOUR PLAN...
Hang in there...We have all met obstacles like those that you are facing... But WE MADE IT and SO CAN YOU...
Good Luck,
Vernon

Don't disagree with anything vernon said, if that works for you vernon, great. But it didn't work for me, but then everyone's different.I generally take a break and do something different, like play keyboard for a couple of days,a couple of days down the line i'm itching to pick up my guitar.
If i didn't take a break every now and again i think i would have given up by now.
I'm sure you will find what's best for you in time strylums.

Like so many other people - when I'm feeling burned out - I just play for the fun of it - or I switch over to some other instrument - because at the end of the day - it's all about the music.

I'm feeling abit burnt right now and have started wailing on a harmonica - go figure!
